Vols QB Bray fractures thumb

Tennessee Volunteers sophomore quarterback 12 loss against Georgia on Saturday.

Bray went 18-of-33 for 251 yards in Saturday's game. This season, he has connected on 116-of-176 pass attempts for 1,579 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions. He currently ranks first in the SEC in passing touchdowns (14), total offense (303.8), passing yards per game (315.8), and pass efficiency (165.2).

Matt Simms is expected to start at QB for the Volunteers for Saturday afternoon's home game against top-ranked LSU. Simms, who has played in three games this year, has completed 5-of-8 passes for 57 yards. The senior started eight games last season before being replaced by Bray.

After this week's game against LSU, the Volunteers travel to take on current No. 2 Alabama on October 22.
