Jets claim MacLean off waivers

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Jets have claimed center Brett MacLean off waivers from the Phoenix Coyotes.

The 23-year-old London, Ontario native played in 13 games last season for the Coyotes and tallied two goals with one assist.

MacLean led the Ontario Hockey League in goals with 61 for the Oshawa Generals in 2007-2008.

The Coyotes originally selected MacLean in the second round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He has scored 74 goals in three seasons with San Antonio of the American Hockey League.
