The Pittsburgh Steelers added depth to the signing veteran tackle Max Starks to a one- year contract.

The Steelers cut the 29-year-old Starks in the preseason. Starks started 68 games in seven years (2004-2010) with Pittsburgh, but a neck injury limited him to only seven games last season.

Pittsburgh made room on the roster for Starks by releasing offensive lineman Chris Scott.
