Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo and Chicago Bears punt returner/kick returner Devin Hester have been chosen as the NFC's top players for Week 4 of the NFL season.

In the Packers' 49-23 win over the Broncos, Rodgers became the first player in NFL history to compile 400 passing yards, four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in a single game. He completed 29-of-38 passes for 408 yards and rushed for 36 yards to earn his second offensive player of the week award this season and the fourth of his career.

Orakpo garnered the defensive award after registering five tackles and 2 1/2 sacks in the Redskins' 17-10 victory over the Rams. He propelled a defensive unit which held St. Louis to 172 total yards -- the fewest the team has allowed since 2007. This is Orakpo's second career weekly award.

Hester won the special teams award after registering a 69-yard punt return touchdown and a 73-yard kickoff return in the Bears' 34-29 win over the Panthers. He passed Eric Metcalf (10) for the most punt-return touchdowns in NFL history. Hester's 10 career special teams player of the week awards are the most ever by a return specialist and the most in Bears franchise history.

Other nominees for the offensive award included Chicago running back Matt Forte, who rushed for a career-high 205 yards with a touchdown and had 228 yards from scrimmage, and Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who had eight catches for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-30 comeback victory over the Cowboys

Defensive consideration went to Buccaneers defensive end Michael Bennett, who had five tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a 24-17 win over the Colts, and Packers linebacker Desmond Bishop, who had a team-high 13 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.

Falcons kicker Matt Bryant was nominated for the special teams award after converting all three field goal attempts in a 30-28 win over the Seahawks. Redskins punter Sav Rocca also received consideration.
