Younes Belhanda converted a penalty kick 2 draw against Bordeaux on Saturday at the Stade Chaban-Delmas.

Montpellier grabbed a share of the Ligue 1 lead, as it climbed level on points with PSG, Lyon and Toulouse. Bordeaux remained on one win after nine matches.

Cheick Diabate put Bordeaux ahead after 18 minutes and, despite a red card to Marc Planus in the 25th, Michael Ciani added to the hosts cushion four minutes into the second half.

Montpellier didn't take advantage of the extra man, but after Mapou Yangambiwa was sent off in the 79th, the two late goals helped the squad earn its seventh result through nine weeks.

With five wins and two draws, Montpellier has 17 points to grab a share of the top, although it sits second to PSG on goal differential. Bordeaux is winless in five straight and just three points off the bottom.

Sochaux 3, Toulouse 0

Montbeliard, France - Modibo Maiga scored twice as Sochaux snapped a four-game winless skid to deny Toulouse the top spot in Ligue 1 with a 3-0 win Saturday at Stade Auguste Bonal.

Maiga scored the opener after nine minutes, added his second in the 87th, then Cedric Bakambu sealed Sochaux's third win of the season in the 89th.

Toulouse remained level on points for the spot with PSG, Montpellier and Lyon. Toulouse had its four-game unbeaten run, a span including three wins, snapped.

Lorient 2, Valenciennes 0

Lorient, France - Joel Campbell and Yann Jouffre scored as Lorient extended its unbeaten streak to six games with a 2-0 win over Valenciennes at the Stade du Moustoir on Saturday in Ligue 1.

Lorient won for the third time during its unbeaten run, while Valenciennes had its unbeaten streak snapped at three games.

Nancy 1, Evian 1

Nancy, France - Cedric Mongongu converted a penalty kick in the 62nd minute as Evian kept Nancy winless on the season in Ligue 1 with a 1-1 draw Saturday at the Stade Marcel Picot.

Loosemy Karaboue scored in the 53rd for Nancy, which has four losses and five ties this season. Evian is winless in seven straight.

St Etienne 1, Auxerre 1

Saint Etienne, France - Ben Sahar scored in the fifth minute and Auxerre held on for a 1-1 draw against St Etienne at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Ligue 1 on Saturday to extend its unbeaten streak to eight games.

Auxerre lost its season opener, but has two wins and six draws since. Etienne, now winless in seven, got its lone goal from Josua Guilavogui.

Dijon 1, Ajaccio 1

Dijon, France - Eric Bautheac scored in the 41st minutes as Dijon answered an early goal from Ajaccio's Mehdi Mostefa for a 1-1 draw Saturday in Ligue 1 at the Stade Gaston Gerard.

Dijon extended its unbeaten streak to three in the battle of promoted sides, while Ajaccio's winless run extended to four games.

Caen 1, Nice 1

Caen, France - Eric Mouloungui scored in the 90th minute as Nice tied Caen 1-1 on Saturday at Stade Michel d'Ornano in Ligue 1 for its second straight draw.

Pierre-Alain Frau scored in the 80th for Caen, which is unbeaten in four in a row.
