Edinburgh, Scotland – A goal in each half from Garry 2 win over St Johnstone on Wednesday.
Ivan Sproule had Hibs in the lead 17 minutes into the contest, but Liam Craig answered quickly for St Johnstone to level the score.
O'Connor restored the lead for the home side eight minutes before halftime and he notched his seventh goal of the campaign from the penalty spot after drawing a foul on St Johnstone's David McCracken inside the area.
Cillian Sheridan pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 88th minute, but it wasn't enough to prevent the club's five-game unbeaten streak from coming to an end.
