Minneapolis, MN – The Minnesota Twins have claimed right- handed pitcher Esmerling Vasquez off waivers from the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Over 31 relief efforts this season, Vasquez went 1-1 with a 4.15 earned run average. He has made 141 career appearances with Arizona over the last three seasons, going 5-10 with a 4.66 ERA.
The Twins also transferred infielder Alexi Casilla to the 60-day disabled list.
