Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael through practice Wednesday morning, but did not participate in the afternoon session.
Vick was present at Philadelphia's afternoon practice.
Eagles head coach Andy Reid was joined by head trainer Rick Burkholder for an update on the star's condition following the morning walk-through.
"He's right in the middle of this process," Burkholder said about Vick. "He's right where we expect him to be. Everything's progressing."
Vick will continue to go through the protocols in an effort to get ready for Sunday's game. Burkholder said Vick is close to his baseline tests, but added that he still must see an independent neurologist before he is cleared.
"The only symptoms he has right now are his neck's a little sore, his jaw's a little sore," Burkholder added. He also cautioned that concussion symptoms can occur from day-to-day.
"There's guys who get to certain points and have setbacks, and there's guys that sail through [the process]," Burkholder warned. "It's difficult to predict."
Reid said he is getting all three of his quarterbacks ready for Sunday's home opener. Mike Kafka took over against the Falcons as projected backup Vince Young continues to recover from a hamstring issue from the preseason.
Young was a full participant in Wednesday afternoon's practice.
"We're pretty fortunate we have three guys we're comfortable with playing the game," Reid noted.
Vick had completed 19-of-28 passes for 242 yards with two touchdowns and one interception when he left the contest.
Kafka connected on 7-of-9 throws for 72 yards and had the Eagles in position to win the game in the fourth quarter, but Jeremy Maclin dropped a pass on fourth down that would have given the Eagles a first down deep in Atlanta territory.
The Eagles will enter Sunday's divisional showdown with the New York Giants with a new middle linebacker. Jamar Chaney is moving from the strong side back to the middle which is where he played at the end of the 2010 season. Rookie Casey Matthews goes from the middle to the weak side and Moise Fokou takes Chaney's spot at strong side linebacker.
