Lexi Thompson, 16, became the youngest winner in LPGA Tour history on Sunday at the Navistar LPGA Classic and made a huge leap up this week's world rankings.
Thompson shot up 80 places to No. 44, although, due to age limits set forth by the LPGA Tour, the high-school junior is not a member of the tour.
Yani Tseng remained in first, followed by Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr, Na Yeon Choi, Jiyai Shin, Sun Ju Ahn, Ai Miyazato, Paula Creamer and Brittany Lincicome. Stacy Lewis inched up one to round out the top 10.
I.K. Kim slipped one to 11th. Michelle Wie and Karrie Webb stayed at 12th and 13th, respectively, while Morgan Pressel and Inbee Park switched places this week with Pressel in 14th and Park in 15th.
Angela Stanford finished third at the Navistar LPGA Classic and climbed two to No. 16. Chie Arimura and Amy Yang both fell a single notch to 17th and 18th. Sakura Yokomine rose two to 19th and Song-Hee Kim completed the top 20.
