NEW YORK – Austria's Jurgen Melzer and Germany's Philipp Petzschner won their second Grand Slam doubles title, beating Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski in straights sets in the U.S. Open final Saturday.
The ninth-seeded Melzer and Petzschner won 6-2, 6-2 in 49 minutes. They also won Wimbledon last year.
Fyrstenberg and Matkowski, from Poland, were seeded sixth.
Melzer and Petzschner combined for 23 winners and just six unforced errors.
