The 2013 National Football League regular season gets underway on FOX Sports with doubleheader action scheduled this Sunday and every Sunday throughout 2013. Once again, FOX Sports' Emmy Award winning pre-game show, FOX NFL Sunday, kicks off the action with one-hour of everything you need to know about the upcoming games of the week. Opening the season on FOX Sports is a prime-time battle between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints in an NFC South battle. The Saints are coming off a difficult season in which they had to operate without their head coach. But that was only one of the issues New Orleans needed to address for this upcoming year, and it looks like they have taken every step necessary to return to the playoffs. Back is coach Sean Payton, one of the best offensive minds in the game. That will only aid quarterback Drew Brees, one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the league. Where the Saints should make the most improvement, however, is on defense. New defensive coordinator, Rob Ryan, has installed the 3-4 defense and the off season was used to bring in some serious defensive talent, including free agent corner, Keenan Lewis and rookie safety, Kenny Vaccaro. The Falcons, also a seriously offensive minded team, got better on offense with the addition of running back Stephen Jackson. Quarterback Matt Ryan has two of the league's top receivers in Roddy White and Julio Jones. Both of these teams have the talent to end up the division winner, but in a division that has improved top to bottom, every division game will be important.
