Kyle Busch will start on the pole for Friday night's Food City 250 Nationwide Series race after posting the fastest lap in qualifying at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Busch turned a lap at 120.083 mph around the half-mile, high-banked track for his second pole of the season and the 23rd of his Nationwide career. He will attempt to become the first driver to win three consecutive Nationwide races at Bristol.

His Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Joey Logano, earned the outside pole with a lap at 119.947 mph.

Elliott Sadler qualified third, followed by Kenny Wallace and Jason Leffler.

Carl Edwards, Trevor Bayne, Justin Allgaier, Clint Bowyer and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the current points leader, will start sixth through 10th, respectively.

Stenhouse holds an eight-point advantage over Sadler, while Reed Sorenson trails the leader by nine points. Sorenson will start 18th.

Johnny Chapman, J.J. Yeley, John Jackson, T.J. Bell, Jennifer Jo Cobb and Carl Long failed to qualify.

The 250-lap race at Bristol is scheduled to start just after 7:30 p.m. (et).
