Webb Simpson posted a bogey-free, three- under 67 Sunday to win the Wyndham Championship by three strokes.

Simpson ended his first PGA Tour title at 18-under-par 262.

George McNeill fired a six-under 64 to take second place at minus-15. Tommy Gainey managed a one-under 69 to end alone in third at 14-under-par 266.

Charles Howell III (67), Jerry Kelly (65), Vijay Singh (65), 2008 champion Carl Pettersson (69) and Kyung-tae Kim (66) shared fourth place at Sedgefield Country Club at minus-13.

The other battle this week was to get inside the top 125 on the FedExCup points list as the Playoffs start next week.

Padraig Harrington tied for 47th, but that was enough to move him inside the top 125. Ernie Els and William McGirt also climbed into the top 125 and will make the field at the Barclays next week.

Matt Jones, David Mathis and Cameron Beckman started the week ranked Nos. 122-124 on the points list and all missed the cut. All three fell outside the top 125 and will miss the Playoffs.

Camilo Villegas was in the perilous 125th spot at the start of the week, but a tie for ninth got him in next week safely.

Justin Leonard closed with a 69 to share 17th, but missed the Playoffs by one spot as he finished 126th on the points list.
