The Jacksonville Jaguars signed linebacker Gerris Wilkinson and punter Brent Bowden on Saturday.

Wilkinson spent the past five seasons with the New York Giants, who drafted him in the third round of the 2006 draft out of Georgia Tech. He played mostly special teams with the Giants and totaled 68 tackles over 58 games, including seven starts.

Bowden was a sixth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2010 draft, but has never played a game in the NFL.

Also on Saturday, the team waived linebacker Alvin Bowen and wide receiver John Matthews.
