Crabb signs one-year deal with Toronto

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Tuesday that the club has signed unrestricted free agent forward Joey Crabb to a one-year contract.

Crabb collected 3 goals, 15 points and 24 penalty minutes in 48 games for the Maple Leafs during the 2010-11 season. Crabb played 34 games for the AHL's Toronto Marlies, registering 11 goals and 18 points. The 6-1, 190-pound forward was selected to represent the American Hockey League's Western Conference at the 2011 AHL All-Star game, but did not play due to his recall to the Leafs.

In 77 career NHL games with Toronto and Atlanta, Crabb produced 7 goals, 24 points and 52 penalty minutes. He had 4 goals and 9 points in 29 games with the Thrashers in 2008-09. Drafted by the New York Rangers in the seventh round (No. 266 overall) in 2002, he signed as a free agent with Toronto on July 1, 2010.
