ANAHEIM, Calif. - Right wing Dan Sexton has agreed to a two-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks, avoiding an arbitration hearing.

The Ducks reached a two-way deal Monday with Sexton, who had four goals and nine assists in 47 games with Anaheim last season. Sexton also played 17 games for the Ducks' AHL affiliate in Syracuse.

Sexton made his NHL debut during the 2009-10 season. He is expected to compete for a spot on the Ducks' roster in training camp.

Sexton was scheduled for an arbitration hearing on Aug. 4. Anaheim has no pending arbitration cases.
