Strain lands Rays pitcher Wade Davis on disabled list

MIAMI (Reuters) - The Tampa Bay Rays have placed starting pitcher Wade Davis on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain, the team said on Thursday.

Davis, 25, started Wednesday's win over the Minnesota Twins and allowed nine hits, four runs and three walks in five innings. He was not credited with a decision.

The right-hander has a 7-6 record this season but is 3-1 in his last five starts.
