GLENDALE, Ariz. - Keith Yandle is committed to staying in the desert for the forseeable future.
The defenceman signed a five-year extension with the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday, according to general manager Don Maloney.
Reports indicate the contract is worth $26.25 million.
Yandle has spent his entire NHL career with the Coyotes after being selected in the fourth round in 2005.
He scored 11 goals and 59 points in 82 games last season.
In 283 career NHL games, Yandle has 32 goals and 144 points.
