The Winnipeg Jets have had a busy holiday weekend, announcing the signing of six players since the free-agent window opened this past Friday.
Jones, 29, played in 61 games last season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, scoring 13 points. He also Made five appearances in Tampa Bay's reun to the Eastern conference Final.
Rypien, 27, played this past season with the Vancouver Canucks, but played in just 9 contests, compiling an assist and 19 penalty minutes. In 119 career games in the NHL with the Canucks from 2005 to 2011 where he has scored 16 points and 226 penalty minutes. Rypien also pLayed last season for the Manitoba Moose, now the AHL affiliate of the Jets. He has played in a total of 116 games in the AHL, all with Manitoba from 2004 to 2011. In that span, Rypien has 39 points and 252 penalty minutes.
Meech, a 26-year-old defenseman, played in 74 last season with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League where he scored 37 points. A native of Winnipeg, Meech has 126 NHL appearances under his belt, all with the Detroit Red Wings. In those games, he has 16 points and collected 39 penalty minutes. Meech also played in a pair of Stanley Cup playoff games with the Red Wings in 2009.
Gagnon, 25, appeared in 19 games last season with the Dallas Stars, collecting 2 assists. He has played in a total of 21 games in his NHL, career, all with the Stars in the past three years. In 58 games with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars this past season, Gagnon scored 37 points.
Flood, 26, appeared in 63 games last season with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, scoring 40 points. He has 6 NHL games on his resume, all with the New York Islanders two years ago. In 306 career AHL games with Syracuse, Albany, Bridgeport, and Manitoba from 2005 to 2011, Flood scored 140 points (42g, 98a).
Glass, 27, appeared in 73 games last season with the Vancouver Canucks where he scored 10 points. Glass also played in 20 playoff games last season as the Canucks made it to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.
In his career, Glass has 184 NHL games under his belt, scoring 23 points (8g, 15a) and collecting 233 penalty minutes.
