Start of first period
8:03 p.m. Sean Bergenheim is officially out for tonight's game. He will be replaced by Dana Tyrell, who played 4:38 in Game 4, his only other appearance in this series.
7:54 p.m. As you probably already know, Tampa Bay coach Guy Boucher has gone back to Dwayne Roloson for Game 6. Roloson, who did not play in Game 5, is 6-0 lifetime in elimination games and has a 1.50 goals-against average in those contests. Will the three days of rest help Roloson or hurt him at this point. That is one of the biggest questions headIng into this game. We'll get an answer soon.
7:42 p.m. Welcome to St. Pete Times Forum for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the first elimination game in this wildly entertaining series. For Tampa, it is win-or-welcome-to-summer-break time. Certainly, the Lightning will play their most desperate game of the series with so much on the line. How Boston handles that initial charge will tell a lot about this game, I think. Tampa Bay, though, will be hampered by the absence of forward Sean Bergenheim, who is out with a leg injury he picked up in Game 5. Not only does Bergenheim have a League-best 9 goals this postseason, but his absence also affects the overall depth of Tampa Bay's forward lines. They become more of a two-line proposition, which makes defending them a bit easier. Boston, on the other hand, will go with the same lineup as Game 5.
