BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Buffalo Sabres have signed rookie forward Marcus Foligno to a three-year entry level contract.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2009 draft, Foligno completed his fourth season with Sudbury of the Ontario Hockey League. He is the son of former Sabres player Mike Foligno and younger brother of Ottawa Senators forward Nick Foligno.

Marcus Foligno captained Sudbury last season and finished with a career-high 59 points in 47 games. He also won a silver medal for Canada in the world junior hockey tournament in Buffalo in January.

The Sabres also unveiled plans for a multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation of their player facility and locker room that will take place this summer. The player area will nearly double in size, from 8,500 square feet to more than 15,200.
