One win is all that separates the Vancouver Canucks from their first trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 17 years.

After the Canucks got three 5-on-3 goals in short order and four assists from Henrik Sedin in Sunday's 4-2 win over the San Jose Sharks, they took a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals heading back to British Columbia.

The Canucks have struggled to close out series, going 2-4 in the first two rounds against the Blackhawks and Predators, but they'll get their first chance to dispose of the Sharks when Game 5 takes place Tuesday at Rogers Arena (9 p.m., Versus, CBC, RDS).

Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins return home to TD Garden for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday night (8 p.m., Versus, CBC, RDS). The back-and-forth series is tied 2-2, making for a pivotal battle in Beantown.

Salo steps up for Canucks

Vancouver lost a pair of key blueliners in Game 3 -- including Christian Ehrhoff, one of the top offensive defensemen in the game. Sami Salo took charge in Game 4, however, scoring a pair of power-play goals 16 seconds apart in the middle period. Dave Lozo examines the importance of Salo in the Canucks' victory.

Sedin works his magic

Any talk about the Sedin twins being shut down has disappeared as the Western Conference Finals have unfolded. Henrik Sedin showed off his skills Sunday in a dazzling array of passing plays, setting up all four goals by the Canucks. Dan Rosen reports on the reigning MVP's big afternoon.

Sharks have backs to wall

San Jose had played the first two rounds from in front, never trailing in a series. But the Sharks have been chasing the Canucks since this series began and, as Eric Gilmore explains, now must win three straight elimination games or fall short of the Stanley Cup Final once again.

Bruins regroup after stunner

A three-goal first-period lead in Game 4 had Boston poised to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series, but it was all Tampa Bay over the final 40 minutes. Now the Bruins must find a way to regain the momentum. Shawn Roarke has the scoop on their focus heading into Monday night.

Malone paying the price

He's been overshadowed by some of the surprise scorers on the Lightning this postseason, but Ryan Malone's physical play against Zdeno Chara on Saturday could have changed the course of the Eastern Conference Finals. Corey Masisak takes a look at what the veteran forward has meant to the Tampa Bay cause.
