The National Hockey League announced Saturday that there will be no supplemental disciplinary measures against San Jose forward Jamie McGinn, who received a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct in the third period Friday night.
McGinn had a hearing Saturday with NHL Hockey Operations on Saturday afternoon. After a review of the incident, the League said no supplemental discipline will be imposed.
McGinn was penalized for driving Vancouver defenseman Aaron Rome into the glass late in the third period of Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. Rome did not return to the game. Vancouver scored twice during the long power play, but the Sharks held on for a 4-3 victory.
