ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Vikings and Ramsey County officials have announced a news conference to talk about a new stadium, just one day after the city of Minneapolis put forward its own proposal.
Owners Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf are scheduled to be at Ramsey County's news conference Tuesday afternoon, along with former coach Bud Grant and former star Jim Marshall.
Ramsey County has been pushing for a stadium on the site of a former Army ammunition plant in the suburban city of Arden Hills.
Vikings officials did not immediately return a call answering whether the joint news conference means a deal between the team and the county. But the news conference will be followed by what the team says will be "stadium site tours."
