TORONTO (Reuters) - Anaheim Ducks forward Jarkko Ruutu has been suspended one game for delivering a late hit to Nashville Predators forward Martin Erat during their Western Conference quarter-final game, the NHL said on Thursday.

Erat was leveled by Ruutu early in the second period of Wednesday's game about a second or two after he had passed the puck to a team mate.

The Nashville forward, who went down immediately and stayed on his knees for about a minute, went straight to the Nashville locker room and did not return.

Ruutu, who received an interference penalty for the hit, will miss Saturday's Game Five in the best-of-seven series that is tied at 2-2.
