Top 2011 Entry Draft prospect Mark Scheifele scored twice and added an assist and Canada piled up 63 shots in a 5-0 win against Norway on Monday at the 2011 IIHF World Under-18 Championship at the EnergieVerbund Arena in Dresden, Germany.

Scheifele, No. 16 on NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters for the 2011 Entry Draft, is tied for the tournament lead with 5 goals in just three games.

After Scheifele helped set up Nick Cousins' goal 58 seconds into the game, Scheifele added a power-play goal midway through the first period. Colin Smith scored before the period ended to make it 3-0.

Scheifele added another power-play goal midway through the second, and Slater Koekkoek had a power-play in the third.

Andrew D'Agostini stopped all 19 shots he faced for Canada, which faces Sweden on Tuesday in the final day of preliminary-round play. A win would clinch the top spot in Group B for Canada and a berth in the semifinals.

"They (Sweden) are the best team that we'll face to this point," Canada coach Mike Williamson told Canadian Press. "They're big, they're strong, they skate well and they play (a) very structured (game), and they play with a lot of speed. So our attention to detail and our compete level are going to have to be right at the top end."

In the only other game Monday, Slovakia's Patrik Rybar stopped all 30 shots he faced and Vladimir Dolnik scored 2 goals and had an assist to lead Slovakia to a 4-0 win against host Germany, at Crimmitschau Arena in Crimmitschau, Germany. The win was Slovakia's first of the tournament.

Germany's loss clinches the Group A title for the U.S., which will face Germany on Tuesday. Had Germany beaten Slovakia and the U.S. in its final two games, Germany would have won the group.

Quarterfinal play begins Thursday, with the semifinals Saturday and the gold- and bronze-medal games on Sunday.
