After each delivered what some are calling questionable hits in Monday night's Game 3 between Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh, both Penguins forward Chris Kunitz and Lightning forward Steve Downie had disciplinary hearings with the NHL Tuesday, according to a TSN report.

Kunitz's hearing was reportedly held via telephone at 10 a.m. ET, while Downie's was held immediately afterward.

The incidents in question are a charge Downie delivered to Ben Lovejoy in the first period of Pittsburgh's 3-2 win. Downie was to be given a penalty on the play, but it was nullified by Pittsburgh scoring a goal before play was stopped. Also in the first period, Kunitz struck Lightning forward Simon Gagne with an elbow that left Gagne on the ice.

Pittsburgh currently leads the best-of-seven series 2-1. Game 4 is Wednesday night in Tampa Bay.
