Following a remarkable run over the past three months, Jacques Lemaire will not return as coach of the New Jersey Devils next season.

The Hall of Famer announced after the New Jersey Devils' 3-2 season-ending win against the Boston Bruins on Sunday at the Prudential Center that he is bringing his coaching career to a close again.

Lemaire came out of retirement before Christmas after rookie coach John MacLean was fired while the Devils struggled for the first time in decades. New Jersey went 29-17-3 under Lemaire after going 9-22-2 with just 57 goals in 33 games.
