NEW YORK -- Yankees captain Derek Jeter is paying $15,500 a rental at Trump World Tower -- the same building in which he already owns a $20 million apartment that is now on the market -- so he can get more sleep, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

According to the Post, a neighbor's noisy construction was hampering the star shortstop's crucial rest.

So to get around the problem, Jeter signed a lease for a 2,087-square-foot (194sqm), two-bedroom, three-bath corner pad away from the racket to ensure some serious shut-eye during baseball season.

Listing broker Dana Power, of Town, had no comment.
