City had five different scorers from five different nations: Adam Johnson (England), Carlos Tevez (Argentina), David Silva (Spain), Patrick Vieira (France) and Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast).
City moved into third place, one point above reigning champion Chelsea. The title appears beyond City's reach, with Manchester United 10 points in front. But a finish in the Champions League positions looks like a real possibility, with the club six points above fifth-place Tottenham.
