The Columbus Blue Jackets have added right wing Tomas Kubalik (koo-BAHL'-ihk) to the roster on emergency recall from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

General manager Scott Howson announced the move on Thursday, with Kubalik expected to join the team in time for the game at Washington on Thursday night.

The 20-year-old Kubalik has 22 goals and 28 assists in 73 games for Springfield this season. The Blue Jackets' sixth pick and 135th overall in the 2008 draft, Kubalik, a native of Czech Republic, is playing his first professional season and leads the Falcons in goals, including six on the power play, and points.
