Livan Hernandez tuned up for his opening-day start with four shutout innings Saturday in the Washington Nationals' 10-0 win over the Houston Astros.
Mike Morse hit his eighth spring home run in the second inning off Houston starter Henry Villar, and Jonathan Van Every added a three-run homer for the Nationals in the eighth inning.
Ivan Rodriguez had two of Washington's 11 hits.
The 36-year-old Hernandez, who will pitch the Nationals' season opener Thursday at Atlanta, gave up one hit and one walk in his final spring start.
