The Hawks come to the Verizon Center for their only meeting of the season with the surging Washington Capitals. The Caps have won their last seven games, including Friday's 2-1 home victory against Carolina. The Hawks have been off since Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss at Tampa Bay.
NBC will air the game, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET.
There are four more games on Sunday's schedule, beginning at 3 p.m. ET when Edmonton visits Pittsburgh. The Penguins lost 3-0 at home to Montreal on Saturday, while the Oilers fell 2-1 in overtime at Detroit on Friday night. Also at 3, Dallas continues its seven-game homestand by hosting Los Angeles. Both teams won Friday -- the Stars blanked Minnesota 4-0, while the Kings won 4-2 at Columbus.
The Buffalo Sabres, who ended their seven-game road trip by losing 4-3 at Toronto on Saturday, return home to host Ottawa at 5 p.m. ET. The Senators have won their last three games, all by a 2-1 score.
In the day's final game, Phoenix starts a road trip with a visit to Anaheim at 8 p.m. ET. The Coyotes have been off since Thursday's 3-0 home win against Calgary, while the Ducks are coming off a 6-2 win at Colorado on Friday. The game can be seen in Canada on the NHL Network.
