INDIANAPOLIS – Jantel Lavender had 37 points and nine rebounds to lead Ohio State to a 72-57 win over No. 11 Michigan State on Saturday in the semifinals of the Big 10 tournament.
Lavender scored 21 points in the first half for the Buckeyes (21-9), who will face second-seeded Penn State (24-8) in Sunday's title game. The Nittany Lions defeated Illinois 79-64 in Saturday's first semifinal.
Kalisha Keane had 17 points and Lykendra Johnson added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Michigan State (27-4).
