MONTERREY, Mexico – Top-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia advanced to the Monterrey Open final, beatting Polona Hercog of Slovenia 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday.
The former No. 1-ranked Jankovic needed just over an hour to win the match.
Jankovic, now ranked No. 6, will face second-seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia, a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Gisela Dulko of Argentina in the second semifinal.
