The 5-foot-9 guard, who joined the Thunder last week as part of a trade with the Boston Celtics that also brought them center Kendrick Perkins, first experienced discomfort in the knee following Monday's practice.
"We have decided this is the best course of action to resolve the issue with certainty and have Nate back on the court as we enter into the final stages of the season," Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement.
Robinson, slated for back-up use in Oklahoma City, made his Thunder debut Wednesday against Indiana, scoring six points in eight minutes of play.
