CLEVELAND (Reuters) - The nightmare season for the NBA-worst Cleveland Cavaliers continued with news that leading scorer Antawn Jamison could miss the remainder of the season with a fractured finger.
Jamison, a 13th-year forward, was injured in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers and is projected to miss five-seven weeks, the Cavaliers' website (nba.com/cavaliers) reported on Monday.
Since losing franchise cornerstone LeBron James, who left to sign with the Miami Heat in the offseason, the Cavaliers (11-48) have hit rock bottom.
Their 26 consecutive losses earlier this season tied the record for the longest losing streak in North America's four major sports.
Jamison had been one of the few bright spots for the team this season and was averaging 18 points and 6.7 rebounds.
