Savannah State routs Carver Bible College 103-64

Jovonni Shuler scored a season-high 36 points and Savannah State led from start to finish in a 103-64 rout of Carver Bible College on Thursday night.

The Tigers (10-18) scored the game's first 14 points and never were threatened by a team that has lost all of its 22 games this season.

Preston Blackmon added 23 points as the Tigers dominated every phase of the game. Jyles Smith had 12 rebounds as Savannah State won the battle of the boards 45-22.

Savannah State, which lost 13 in a row early in the season, has won eight of its last nine and three in a row. The Tigers led 52-26 at halftime and expanded the margin to 44 points late in the second half.

Shuler's previous high this season was 32 points against Samford on Nov. 30.

Bernard Parks and James Barbee each had 14 to lead Carver.
