St. Louis (7:54), Stamkos (14:55) and Lecavalier (17:54) extended the lead to 5-0 with first-period, power-play goals. It was Stamkos' first goal in six games.

Purcell had goals at 2:43 and 8:17 in the second to complete the hat trick. Hanzal cut the deficit to 7-1 later in the second.

After Hall got his first goal in 18 games early in the third, Phoenix then got goals from Turris and Schlemko.
