Russell Johnson's jump shot with 2 seconds to go gave Robert Morris a 62-60 win over Monmouth (N.J.) on Saturday night.

The Colonials (14-13, 9-6 Northeast Conference) led 34-32 at halftime and stretched the advantage to 41-35 with 18:04 left. Neither team led by more than three points after that.

Robert Morris took a three-point lead, 60-57, on Lijah Thompson's dunk with 2:14 to play. Both teams then turned it over two times each before Monmouth's Jesse Steele made a three-point play to tie it at 60 with 32 seconds left.

The Colonials shot just 35.7 percent in the second half (10 of 28), but outrebounded the Hawks 23-13 and got 13 points from Coron Williams in the final 20 minutes.

Williams finished with 15 points, Johnson 13 and Velton Jones added 12 points for Robert Morris.

Mike Myers Keitt led Monmouth (9-19, 5-11) with 14 points and Steele finished with 12.
