Jeremy Granger scored 20 points to lead four Eastern Illinois players in double figures as the Panthers defeated Toledo 75-58 on Saturday night, snapping an eight-game losing streak.

Granger was 13 of 13 from the free-throw line for Eastern Illinois (9-18), which hit 20 of 22 foul shots in the nonconference matchup.

The Panthers led by as many as nine in the first half and 33-28 at halftime.

The Rockets (4-23), who lost their ninth straight, closed the gap to 35-34 with 17:16 to go. Eastern Illinois answered with a 12-0 run, with Shaun Pratl scoring seven points and Curry McKinney five.

Curry finished with 17 points and Pratl and James Hollowell each added 11 points for the Panthers, who shot 48 percent from the field (24 of 59).

Jay Shunnar scored 16 points to lead Toledo, which shot 39.6 percent from the field (19 of 48) and made 9 of 28 3-pointers.
