Campbell holds off Stetson 64-61

Preston Dodson scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Campbell to a 64-61 win over Stetson on Thursday night, sweeping the season series.

Down by four points at 56-52, Campbell (12-15, 6-11 Atlantic Sun Conference) closed the game on a 12-5 run over the last 3:53.

Marvell Harris made a layup with 1:23 to play to give Campbell a 62-60 lead. After Steve Forbes made 1 of 2 free throws with 1 minute remaining to get Stetson within a point, the Hatters could not score again.

Campbell's Amir Celestin made two free throws with 3 seconds left to close out the victory.

Eric Griffin added 14 points and Junard Hartley had 11 for Campbell, which won the previous matchup 85-55 on Jan. 22.

Luis Jacobo led Stetson (7-21, 5-12) with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Forbes finished with 15 points and Corey Walden had 12 for the Hatters.
