Mike Myers Keitt scored 16 points and Monmouth defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 62-51 on Saturday for its second win over the Knights in four days.

The Hawks (8-18, 4-10 Northeast Conference), who prevailed 68-57 Wednesday night, have won two straight for the first time this season.

Monmouth had four players in double figures for only the third time this season. Jesse Steele and Ed Waite added 12 apiece and Phil Wait chipped in 10.

Fairleigh Dickinson (4-21, 2-12) held a seven-point lead early, but fell behind by 10 and trailed 35-29 at halftime.

After the Knights got within four at 35-31, the Hawks used an 11-0 run to pull away.

Fairleigh Dickinson, which scored 14 points below its season average, made only two field goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half.

John Galvin scored 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting for the Knights, who have lost nine in a row.
