Two University of Florida swimmers have been suspended indefinitely after being arrested on shoplifting charges over the weekend, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office arrested Lily Ramirez and Daniela Victoria at the Florida Mall after they admitted to stealing two jackets from Nordstrom.

"We are extremely disappointed in the actions of two of our student-athletes this past weekend. Both individuals have been suspended indefinitely, and will miss the 2011 SEC Swimming Championships and beyond," Florida swimming coach Gregg Troy said in a statement to the paper.

According to the police report, both swimmers returned the jackets after employees alerted a deputy that they left the store without paying.

Ramirez and Victoria face charges of misdemeanor petty theft and have been released from jail.
