The University of Virginia says three football players are charged with assaulting three men in an apartment, which is what led to their indefinite suspensions.

Starting cornerback Devin Wallace, starting linebacker Ausar Walcott and backup center Mike Price are each charged with three felony counts of assault and other misdemeanors.

A spokesman for the school confirms the suspensions and says coach Mike London would be making no further statement about the case on Wednesday.

Harrisonburg police say the players assaulted the men early Jan. 30 and two required hospital treatment. Harrisburg is about 35 miles northwest of the Virginia campus in Charlottesville.

Police did not know if the players had attorneys.
