BOSTON (Reuters) - Boston Celtics swingman Marquis Daniels suffered a neck injury and was taken to hospital after colliding with an opponent during a game against the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

He laid on the court for about five minutes in front of a silent Boston Garden crowd while being attended to by team doctors and arena paramedics.

Daniels appeared alert and offered a thumbs-up as he was carried off the court on a stretcher and taken to a hospital where the Celtics said he would get "evaluation" for a neck injury.
