Dan Geriot scored 15, Justin Harper added 13 and Kevin Anderson 12 to lead Richmond over Saint Joseph's 62-52 on Wednesday night.

The Spiders (17-6, 6-2 Atlantic 10 Conference) grabbed an 11-10 lead on a Kevin Smith dunk with 14:23 left to play in the opening half and never trailed again.

A 3-pointer from Anderson less than a minute into the second half gave Richmond its largest lead of the game, 39-26. The Spiders shot 50 percent from the floor (20 of 40), including 7 of 16 from beyond the arc (43.8 percent).

Carl Jones scored 21 points for the Hawks (5-17, 0-8), who have lost nine consecutive games — their longest losing streak since losing 12 straight during the 1974-75 season.

Langston Galloway added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks, who finished 21 of 54 from the field (38.9 percent), including 2 of 14 from 3-point range (14.3 percent).
