Sacir Hot, a 19-year-old defender, has signed with the New York Red Bulls a a homegrown player under Major League Soccer rules.

Hot, who played for the U.S. under-20 team at the Milk Cup last July, became the fourth graduate of the Red Bulls academy to sign with New York, following Juan Agudelo, Giorgi Chirgadze and Matt Kassel.

Hot, who is from Fair Lawn, N.J., played at Boston College as a freshman in 2009. He had a trial in January at Germany's Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Red Bulls also said Monday they will play an exhibition against Mexico's Atlas on March 8 at Glendale, Ariz. New York's Rafael Marquez began his professional career at Atlas.
