RADFORD, Va. – Desmond Holloway scored 21 points and Coastal Carolina routed Radford 86-63 on Saturday night.
The Chanticleers (20-2, 11-0 Big South Conference), became the fastest team in conference history to reach 20 wins in a season.
Holloway has scored at least 20 points nine times this season and is the only player in the conference to reach double digits in every game he has played.
Anthony Raffa added 17 points and Chad Gray had 13 for the Chanticleers, who have won 18 in a row.
The Chanticleers, who led by nine points at halftime, went on a 24-4 run less than three minutes into the second half to grab their largest lead of the game at 73-44 with 7:37 remaining. A layup by Brandon Crawford capped the surge.
Martins Abele and Tolga Cerrah each scored 10 points for the Highlanders (4-17, 1-10), who have lost six straight games.
