Mystics forward Monique Currie is expected to miss the entire 2011 WNBA season after having surgery for a torn ligament in her left knee.

The Mystics announced Wednesday that Currie was injured while playing in Turkey during the WNBA offseason.

Currie averaged 14.1 points and 4.8 rebounds last season, while leading Washington by making 44.6 percent of her 3-point attempts.

The Mystics open the season on June 4.
